The Cleveland Browns held their second joint practice with the Philadelphia Eagles on Tuesday and the two teams will then meet for a preseason game on Thursday. For the Browns, it will be their third game since they played in Canton for the Hall of Fame Game. For Philly, it's exhibition No. 2.

While the games get more attention, the joint practices are often praised by coaches as more telling. The Browns had some good and some bad during their sessions with the Eagles that they can either build upon or work to correct.

With that being said, let's check out four takeaways from the practices.

4. Amari Cooper didn't have his best day on Monday

Amari Cooper is coming off the best campaign of his career but Monday wasn't his best outing. Jeff Kerr of CBS Sports said he had a lot of passes come his way but the production simply wasn't there.

"Cooper had a lot of targets against the Eagles in the joint practice. Unfortunately, not a lot of production. A great route runner himself, Cooper struggled to catch passes against the Eagles secondary. Toward the end of 11-on-11s, Cooper finished with consecutive drops -- one of which led to a Reed Blankenship interception."

Cooper has had issues at times with drops but it wasn't a major problem for him in 2022 and hopefully that remains the case in 2023. He did have surgery this offseason so it might just be a case of him getting back on track.

It's also not normal for him to struggle against the Eagles. Cooper spent three-and-a-half seasons in Dallas and had some of his best plays ever against Philadelphia.

Don't expect this to be the norm for him.
