Will the Browns Beat the Steelers? Ask Kevin Shaffer
At a function combining Browns football and a spiritual message, Browns personnel and players addressed a crowd of a few hundred with questions ranging from the team’s cornerback situation to the seemingly daunting schedule. GM Phil Savage let starting right tackle Kevin Shaffer take on the question of the schedule:
“I love the five big-time games (on night-time national TV). … I feel very confident about our team. I’m excited.”
And his response to the question of “Will you beat the Steelers?”
“Yes.”
Nothing better than some bulletin-board material going into minicamp. The Pittsburgh Steelers are considered Super Bowl contenders, and the Browns are the media darlings with a heap of expectations to meet, so the match-ups will be solid this season. One area the Browns can count on being better than the Steelers in: special teams.

[...] The Browns are confident that they will beat their biggest rivals. [...]
