After the excitement of the Colt McCoy pick, the last pick the Browns had in the third round was almost under the radar. Cleveland selected Arizona State offensive lineman Shawn Lauvao with the 92nd overall pick.
Lauvao was one of the most versatile offensive linemen in college football, playing on both the left and right sides of the line. Even better, Lauvao was a very consistent player, finishing his career with 33 consecutive starts. A powerful lineman, Lauvao’s versatility and strength will make him very valuable to the Browns. He is not as strong on the ends, but he would be better suited inside as a guard in Cleveland anyway.
