Bernie Kosar: Back in the NFL?

If only it would be for the Browns. Either way, former Browns quarterback Bernie Kosar is looking to get back in the NFL with a position of some kind, whether it is in the coaching realm or something closer to the title of special consultant.

Kosar has been down in Mobile, Alabama for this week’s Senior Bowl workouts, talking with  a number of teams, including the New England Patriots and head coach Bill Belichick. That’s right, the same guy who cut Kosar for his “diminishing skills” could potentially find a spot for him on his staff. No worries though, the two made up a long time ago, even if Browns fans refuse to forgive the move.

Kosar has a lot of connections in the league, so there are a number of teams that would be a great fit for the beloved quarterback. After the last few years that he has had, it’s great to see that he’s looking to get back into the game.

Bring him to Cleveland, Mike. It would be a shame to see the last real QB in Brownstown go somewhere else. He can be assistant quarterbacks coach and executive advisor to Lerner (similar to the gig JB had). Do it!
