Around the Dawg Pound: Sunday Afternoon Links

Now, this isn’t a piece of news that has anything to do with the Cleveland Browns, but as a football fan, you can join me in the collective groan that is the reaction to the fact that this news is happening.

According to a report, the Philadelphia Eagles are interested in signing quarterback Brett Favre as a backup to Michael Vick.

There have been a lot of rumors about Favre floating around in recent weeks, and it’s hard to believe that Favre will want to accept a backup role on any team, but either way, it’s now obvious that we will never escape this man. By now, I think we can all agree that Favre will be the first cyborg quarterback in the NFL somewhere around the year 2050.

At least this is news that has nothing to do with the lockout, right?
