Kevin Costner is the Cleveland Browns’ GM…in an Upcoming Movie

Though Mike Lombardi is officially the Cleveland Browns’ general manager in reality, Kevin Costner is going to be running the team in a new movie called “Draft Day.”

The story initially called for Costner to be the Buffalo Bills’ general manager, but thanks to Cleveland’s excellent incentives offered to filmmakers (it will save the movie about $3.5 million by moving the production to Ohio), the film will be shot in Cleveland and Costner’s character will be with the Browns, trading for the No. 1 overall pick on – you guessed it – draft day.

According to BuffaloNews.com, Costner’s character will be “trying to restore his team to past glory,” which is a monumental, seemingly impossible task for the actual front office of the Browns.

But this is a movie, and one should assume a move like this won’t blow up in Costner’s face. Or maybe it will. After all, this is the Browns we’re talking about.
