Here is the fans chance to weigh on the firing of Cleveland Browns head coach Rob Chudzinski, now that it is official with a small amount of time to marinate on it.  So, where do the fans stand on this one?  Was it the right decision?  Too early? Were the one wrong people ushered out of Berea?

A 4-12 record, but he deserves at least some credit for the fact that the Browns had 5 Pro Bowl players with 3 of them having their first trip.  Chud ended up managing to win games with three different quarterbacks.  Josh Gordon set franchise records while Jordan Cameron showed he was a viable weapon under Chud.  A number of big defensive let downs, a terrible quarterback situation, losing ten of their last eleven.

Reports have suggested there were issues between the front office and Chud.  Does that part of this have any impact on your opinion on your vote?  Weigh in, tell us what you think.

Where are you on the Chudzinski firing?

I for one have been a supporter of this FO and what they’d done so far, but after this crap, I am flabbergasted. I guess I shouldn’t be, it is the Browns after all, but wow. I will not support the Browns any longer until they prove they can put an NFL team on the field and act like a professional & competent organization. No more attending games, wearing, or buying anything Browns related. Hopefully more fans do the same until it’s felt in the pocket books of Haslam, Banner, and the rest. What a sorry & dysfunctional team!

The beef Chud probably had with the FO is that they gave him crap to work with and then put all of the blame on him!

I think it was a good move he had 5 pro bowl players and still couldn’t win.more then 4 games

Yes but a team is made up of 53 players and when you have a couple dudes from years past in key positions i.e. Qb Brandon W. And are delt with an O that couldn’t produce and was out side of chud’s or his coaches control you shouldn’t blame him. Also 3 of them are first time pro bowlers you can thank chud for that also!

Rome wasn’t built in a day … Or a year as a matter fact.

I am greatly disappointed that they would only give coach chud 1 year and not even a year that could be sold blamed on him. With the cards that were delt to him this season I feel as a die hard Browns fan he did better than a lot of other coaches would have done. He kept the team together after the Trent Richardson trade winning 3 strait, fought and wasn’t blown out of any game without a running game or consist an tab, sent 5 players to the pro bowl 3 of them a first time, and he took a very young team and put in the building blocks for them to play like a play off caliper team. Lastly what do you think would have happened if the owner of the pats fired Bill Bellacheck after his first year in 2000 after only a 5-11 season?

Exactly! Stability has been lacking with this franchise since 99, and you can judge what a coach could be with 1 year, and it was a crap team he too over. This FO is a failure until proven otherwise!

I’m surprised that they cut bait after one year. However, I felt a great deal of frustration all year, and especially after the bye, with their play calling on both sides of the ball. That coupled with the fact that each week following the bye the team appeared to get worse rather than better. The coordinators may be more directly culpable for these problems but the head coach is ultimately responsible for the team and it’s on his shoulders to direct the coordinators to execute his vision. This coupled with the ongoing absence of any appearance of accountability by players who didn’t perform (Bess, Little, etc.) may have lead the FO to conclude that he didn’t have what it took to lead a group of men where they needed to go to win. I agree that it can be argued that one year is too soon to know what you have. At the same time I can also understand the argument that if the FO determined Chud didn’t have it then waiting another year to confirm that conclusion only puts us one year further behind when they do finally move on (like Mangini and Shurmur). In many ways I see the FO as damned if they do, damned if they don’t. The only remedy moving forward is winning. As Pete said, they won’t get a third chance to get this right.

I said at the start of the year that this FO was destroying what little was left of the Browns.

Hey Pete, I tried to tell you about the FO and how they operate! They lie a lot and now they will replace all the coaches’ the OC and DC alike are going to be gone and its another do over from scratch!!The new owner preached stability when he was introduced and then does this!! The team did regress the second half, but some of that is the quarterback situation! The defense however had no excuse to continue making the same mistakes. I was told it’s O K to make mistakes once in a while. learn from them and don’t make the same ones again!!! Now this year was pretty much a waste of time as the new coaches will come in and players wlll go and others will be brought in and now it takes longer and longer to fix this disaster of a team!! We are no longer one draft away from the promise land!!!
