McDaniel's Out, McAdoo......

So as most of you know by now, New England offensive coordinator Josh McDaniel’s has withdrew his name from consideration for the Browns head coaching position.

This news will definitely be a blessing for some Browns fans, who were praying that McDaniel’s didn’t get the Browns

head coaching position.  For others, it will be a disappointment, considering he was probably the biggest name on the coaching candidate list.

We can finally put the Belichick tree behind us once again, considering none of the other candidates in the running are disciples of New England head coach Bill Belichick.

As most of you read this morning in Breakfast with Brownie, Green Bay Packers quarterbacks coach Ben McAdoo seems like he could be the leading candidate to end up with the job.

Browns President Joe Banner is not at all a stranger to hiring basically unknown candidates in his NFL tenure.  It was 14 years ago, that he hired a relatively unknown quarterbacks coach from Green Bay named Andy Reid, who took his team to the Super Bowl and went to four straight NFC Championship games in his time in Philadelphia.

If history is any type of indicator, look for Joe Banner and company to make McAdoo the next head coach of the Cleveland Browns.

Are we saying it’s definitely gonna happen? No. However, as the saying goes, if the shoe fits…

If we could get the right coach, make the right moves in FA, and draft the right players in the draft, i would venture to say playoffs next year.. But then again i wont get my hopes up.

Agree with ya Aaron..Let’s hope they can at least hit on 2/3 and if so, the playoffs could still be a possibility!!

    • Josh Hart

With this organization, there’s about a 1% chance of that happening.

Agree with ya Aaron…Let’s hope they hit on 2/3 out of those and the playoffs could still be a possibility!!

Who cares about McDaniels or Mcadoo!! Is there any truth behind Gruden interviewing with Redskins and Vikings next?!?! Mike, that’s more important story. Why aren’t we in this?! Gruden’s taking interviews damn it!!!!

  • Mike

Justin, it’s not Jon Gruden taking those interviews it’s his brother Jay Gruden, who was instrumental in convincing Mike Brown to take Dalton over Kaepernick….step off that ledge brutha lol
