Just when you thought the day would be about enjoying the NFL Championship games and not worrying about the Browns head coaching vacancy, reports are flying out of Cleveland about the search for their next head coach.

Earlier today we told you about Broncos offensive coordinator Adam Gase possibly declining the Browns request for an interview once the Broncos season is over.

Well that could be more than just a report, considering NFL Media Insider Ian Rapoport, once again reported that Cleveland will bring back Buffalo Bills defensive coordinator Mike Pettine for a second meeting, according to a Browns source.

With the possibility of Gase declining to interview with the Browns, this front office could be now trying to move quickly on finding a successor to Chudzinski.

As we mentioned earlier, Seattle defensive coordinator Dan Quinn is expected to also interview a second time for the Browns job, but again, he could also not be available until after the Super Bowl if the Seahawks win today.

If both Gase and Quinn declined the Browns job, and Pettine is out of the picture, who knows for sure who will be interviewed next for the job.

Possibly former Tennessee Titans head coach Mike Munchak  or former Tampa Bay Buccaneers head coach Greg Shiano?

It was reported yesterday Munchak was meeting with the Pittsburgh Steelers about their vacant offensive line coaching position, so it’s not even a lock to say Munchak would still be available.

It is going to be very interesting to see how this all plays out, that’s for sure…
