The Cleveland Browns may have found more depth for their run game. After adding 2 linemen, 1 each from the Seahawks and 49ers, the Browns have gone back to the NFC West well one more time. Reportedly they have claimed RB Glenn Winston from the Niners:

Winston would be the 3rd rookie running back on the Browns roster to go along with Terrance West and Isaiah Crowell. Only starter Ben Tate has any NFL experience. Winston played at Michigan State but finished his college career at Northwood University. Winston was dismissed from the Spartans team after an incident led to him being sentenced to 6 months in prison back in 2010. He also has a 4 month sentence in 2009. His record seems clean since then but the 25 year old rookie has a checkered past.

This pre-season with the Niners he was finally given a chance to shine in the 4th quarter and took advantage, much like Crowell. His then coach Jim Harbaugh gave him credit:

"“He did. He ran physical, pushed the pile. There was a part of the game where you could see that they had lost some defensive linemen to injury and then later in the game when they were not playing their starters anymore, they were thin on the defensive line. So it was an advantage for us. I think Glenn took advantage of it and it was impressive.”"

For the Browns it looks like another very active day of roster moves. We don’t have any information yet on who the team has dropped to add the 3 pickups so far. No wide receivers have been added as of yet either.

What do you think of the Browns adding another rookie back?
