Buffalo Wind Could Have Big Impact on Game

The Cleveland Browns face off with the Buffalo Bills soon in a very important, we called it must win, game. The Bills have a stellar defense and a offense that keeps them in games. The Browns also try to win in that fashion but have an outstanding set of receivers in Josh Gordon and Andrew Hawkins.

Today’s Browns Vs Bills game in Buffalo could be dramatically impacted by the wind:

Which goes along with this doozy of a picture:

That is some very interesting wind indeed.

Browns fans can point to Brian Hoyer‘s production in the wind storm against the Cincinnati Bengals on Thursday Night Football as to why he shouldn’t be impacted. Yet the return of Gordon could be the very reason he is. Andy Dalton struggled in the wind due to the type of passes he was throwing. Many were higher arcing passes leading his receivers down the field. Hoyer was successful as most of his passes were line drives to receivers either crossing the field of coming back to the ball. Gordon’s size and speed calls for more of those deep throws.

For now we can hope that Hoyer’s experience in the wind this season helps him. Can Kyle Orton have similar success? The veteran has experience in the league, including playing in Chicago, so we can guess he will be ready as well. The wind, as shown in McManamon’s picture, will create an interesting test for the two QBs.

How big of an impact do you think the Buffalo wind will have?
