- Terrelle Pryor will be allowed to play at Ohio Stadium (Columbus Dispatch) – If he manages to still be on the roster come Aug. 7, Terrelle Pryor will be allowed to participate in the scrimmage at Ohio State.
- Browns staff preps for season with visit to HoF (profootballhof.com) – Staff members from the Cleveland Browns, led by team Vice President of Marketing and Sponsorship Kevin Griffin, made a visit to the Pro Football Hall of Fame.
AFC North:
- Steelers: Vince Williams looks to overcome obstacles (Still Curtain) – The Pittsburgh Steelers have asked much of 2013 sixth round draft pick Vince Williams in his short time as a professional athlete in the NFL.
- Ravens training camp battle: Will Hill vs. Matt Elam (Ebony Bird) – Will Hill obviously has the edge on the perennial disappointment that is Matt Elam for the kicking slot.
- Moving on from Brandon Tate (Stripe Hype) – Recent reports have suggested that Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Brandon Tate may be a lock for a roster spot over rookie Mario Alford, but that may not be the case.
Cleveland Sports:
- Cavs’ center a trade target? (King James Gospel) – The Cavs are reportedly receiving interest in center Sasha Kaun, who the team drafted years ago and has been playing in Russia.
- Haywood’s contract to predict Love’s future? (Factory of Sadness) – With Kevin Love rumors swirling, ESPN’s Brian Windhorst believes Brendan Haywood‘s contract will tell the public how confident the Cleveland Cavaliers are that they can keep the three-time All-Star next season.
- Francisco Lindor homers as Tribe knocks off Detroit (Wahoo’s on First) – The Indians finally beat Detroit, behind the pitching of Carlos Carrasco and the first major league home run from Francisco Lindor.
