The Cleveland Browns hit the road this Sunday for a game against the San Diego Chargers.
Both teams enter the weekend at 1-2 following disappointing losses in Week 3. While the Browns were busy losing to Oakland, the Chargers were getting blown out by Minnesota.
“We have had a good week. It is hard to tell all the way across the board, but I think in key spots it has certainly shown up,” head coach Mike Pettine said. “You just kind hear how the guys talk and how the week goes. I would be surprised if we don’t go out there and play well. I think we had a good week of practice. We are focused. We scaled some things back so we are fresh and we feel like we are prepared.”
It will be the 24th meeting between the clubs, with the Browns trailing in the series, 8-14-1, and having lost six of the 10 meetings in San Diego, including the past three.
While the Chargers have won seven of the past nine meetings between the two, the Browns did win the most-recent matchup, a 7-6 decision at FirstEnergy Stadium.
