Spanning the virtual globe to bring you the latest news about the Cleveland Browns and the NFL – these are your Daily Dawg Tags for Friday, July 15.

The Cleveland Browns will take the field in Berea in exactly two weeks, ushering in a new era of football in Cleveland. Or so we hope.

The news surrounding the team has been focused on Isaiah Crowell and the subsequent fallout from his Instagram post, but it seems the initial anger has died down and he understands the repercussions he faces.

Let’s take a look at that and more in a Friday edition of the Daily Dawg Tags.

Cleveland Browns:

Summer of 2016 – Time to remember Bill Willis

"I initially demurred when my Dawg Pound Daily editors asked me to write about Bill Willis. Call it a post-Cleveland Cavaliers hangover, Cleveland Indians binging or just mid-summer laziness – I wasn’t motivated to reminisce about a player who retired in 1953, the year after I was born. I never saw Willis play, he was just another legendary Cleveland Browns player that my late dad talked about – but not nearly as much or in as glowing terms as others I was too young to see: Otto Graham, Marion Motley and Dante Lavelli."

Cleveland Browns: What happens if Isaiah Crowell is suspended?

"Cleveland Browns running back Isaiah Crowell recently posted a controversial image on social media. According to a statement he released, this post was an emotional reaction to the violence across the nation last week."

DPD Exclusive: Chad Johnson talks about role with Browns

"Chad Johnson made news on Monday when he sent out a tweet expressing his interest in joining the Cleveland Browns as a coach in training camp. Cleveland.com got a confirmation from the Browns that Johnson would indeed be in camp working with the wide receivers after Johnson sent out a tweet earlier today about joining the team."

Cleveland Browns: Desmond Bryant injury fallout (NFL Spin Zone)

"The Cleveland Browns have lost Desmond Bryant for the season with a pectoral tear that occurred in a weight room accident. The injury required surgery with a recovery time estimated at five to six months. Bryant was the team’s most productive pass rusher this past year with six sacks."

Browns Training Camp Preview: WR Preview, Part 1 (Dawgs by Nature)

"The next position for our 2016 Cleveland Browns training camp preview features the team’s wide receivers. There are 11 receivers on the roster (not including Josh Gordon) heading into camp, and we’ll split them into a three-part series."

NFL News:

Justin Tucker could be on his way out in Baltimore (FanSided)

"The value of kickers has greatly increased. Years ago, a kicker holding out wouldn’t have even been news, but now, it’s likely causing great concern to Ravens fans everywhere. His holdout makes sense — athletes don’t have a lot of chances to get paid, much less kickers. For Tucker, that situation is even worse."

Broncos offer Von Miller at least $70M in guarantees (NFL.com)

"Friday’s 4 p.m. ET franchise tag deadline is drawing near, and Von Miller and the Broncos are inching closer to a deal. NFL Media Insider Ian Rapoport reported Thursday night on NFL Total Access that Miller and the Broncos spent the last week making significant progress on the six-year, $114 million offer and that “a deal is likely” by Friday’s deadline. Denver’s most recent offer includes $59 million of fully guaranteed money in the first nine months and at least $70 million in guarantees overall."

Von Miller likely to accept Broncos’ $70M proposal (Predominantly Orange)

"Denver Broncos star pass rusher and Super Bowl 50 MVP is going to need more than a 10 gallon hat with the truckload of money he’s going to be taking to the bank here soon. Multiple reports indicate the Broncos and Miller are close to a long-term deal, after a stunning offer from the Broncos was put on the table."
