The Cleveland Browns enter free agency with an insane amount of money. Whether they plan to spend a lot to improve the team remains to be seen.

Free agency begins this afternoon, kicking off what should be a wild 2017 season for the Cleveland Browns. And by wild, I mean it is either going to be filled with exciting new faces, or it will end in disaster. Always intrigue here in Cleveland.

The Browns have already missed out on most of the free agent quarterbacks, meaning the team may look to the draft, or even still to Jimmy Garoppolo, to solve the glaring hole at the position.

But there are so many other positions in need of improvement, so let’s hope the Browns open up the checkbook to begin making this team great again.

The first priority should be to retain Terrelle Pryor, who will surely receive offers outside of Cleveland after his great 2016 season. The market may keep his value around the $9-12 million mark, which should be manageable given the $100 million in cap space available to the Browns.

The goal of this rebuilding process is to build through the NFL Draft, but picking up some talent in free agency wouldn’t hurt. The key is to find affordable talent, who can be here for several years and help the young players just entering the league. It is easy on paper, but it is not so easy convincing these players to come to Cleveland.

Free agency will be crazy as usual, so let’s take a look at that and more in today’s edition of the Daily Dawg Tags.
