A Trade Still A Possibility

facebooktwitterreddit

Even with the recent acquistion of Terry Cousin, the Browns are still looking to add another cornerback via a trade or free agency.  The critiea that Phil Savage wants in a cornerback to be acriqueried is a young verteran.  One possiblity is Buffalo Bills CB Ashton Youboty, who went to school not to far at the Ohio State University, where he was coached by current Browns deffensive corodinator Mel Tucker. The Bills have added four cornerbacks this off-season (one FA, and three via the draft) which makes Youboty expendable.

Don’t expect the Browns to go after Ty Law, however.  They feel that at this point in his career, he is too old and too expensive.

Another option, one the Browns are a little less willing to do is play, Brodney Pool at the corner spot and team Sean Jones with Mike Adams at safety.  Pool has some experience at the position, when he played there a bit in 2006.  The dark horse in all of this is of course Gary Baxter, who may be able to help out at corner depending on where he is at health wise.
