Browns Go to College to Find New Coach
News may seem slow this time of year in the land of the Cleveland Browns, but there is still much to talk about, including the non-stop, pulse-pounding, action-crammed world of hiring assistant coaches. The latest coaching hire for the Browns would appear to come from the college ranks, as Eric Mangini has apparently hired George McDonald to be the new coach of the wide receivers. While it is not completely certain that that is the position he will hold with the Browns, it is what he coached while with his old team, the Minnesota Golden Gophers.
UPDATE: McDonald has been named the Offensive Quality Control Coach.
