Donte’ Stallworth: Not so Good News Edition
The things we have found out today.
First WR Donte’ Stallworth turns himself into Miami-Dade county authorities on his DUI manslaughter charges. Then he was taken away in handcuffs and booked in jail, he was later released a few hours later on bail, to the tune of $200,000.
Well if that were not enough it turns out that Stallworth was in the NFL’s substance abuse program prior to this recent charge. This does not bode well for him if he does end up being charged, even if the only charge is a DUI; which according to profootballtalk.com is what one of Stallworth’s attorneys believes will happen.
Depending on which charges are brought against him will determine Stallworth’s suspension in the league, however this may be an afterthought if he is sentenced to jail.
His arraignment is set for April 23, at which point it is believed Stallworth will enter a not guilty plea and a trial date will be set.
