No Need to Worry About the Receiving Corps, Says WR Mohamed Massaquoi

You have to admire Browns wide receiver Mohamed Massaquoi for being confident, but not cocky, when it comes to discussing the upcoming season. Like any player, Massaquoi makes note of how hard he and the rest of the Browns receivers have worked, and seems certain that that will help the unit improve. To that extent he is probably right; there should be an improvement, considering the passing game was about as bad as it gets last season.

That being said, Massaquoi also points to the new quarterbacks on the roster as another reason to be excited about this offense. With the additions of Jake Delhomme and Seneca Wallace, the Browns now have a veteran presence at the quarterback position, which should go a long way in the development of these young receivers, despite there not being much of a strong veteran presence within the receiving corps itself.

Either way, one has to admire Massaquoi’s work ethic. He wants to be a great receiver, but is also willing to put in the time and effort needed to reach that level. Let’s just hope it translates onto the field.
