The College Football Preview will be an ongoing weekly series every Saturday, previewing the top games of the week and eligible player’s for the upcoming draft.

Top Games

12 pm ESPN/ESPN 3 – #12 Arkansas at Georgia– Arkansas looks to snap a 6 game losing streak to Georgia as the Razorbacks open SEC play.  Arkansas QB Ryan Mallet has completed over 73% of his passes on the season thus far, in addition he has accumulated over 700 yards passing and 6 TDs. Georgia is still without star WR AJ Green, so the game will lack a bit in that manner.

8 pm ABC – #6 Texas at  Texas Tech– Whenever these two teams meet, the result is usually entertaining.  These two teams have battled it out in recent years and we as fans can only hope that this year’s game is the same.  By all accounts new Texas Tech coach, Tommy Tuberville, is looking forward to making sure the Tech fans give the Longhorns all they can handle.

10:30 pm  ESPN/ESPN 3 – #9 Iowa at #24 Arizona – What a difference a year makes – this season Iowa’s offense, which was ranked 92nd last year, has been propelling the Hawkeyes to 2 blow-out vicotries on the season.  Arizona has been an early season surprise this season, and the Wildcats are 10th in the nation in passing on the early sesason.

Top Players

Ryan Mallet – QB Arkansas – See preview of this week’s game.  This junior QB looks to be putting “it” together this sesaon, he has the size to be a top draft pick and is piecing together a very nice season as well.

Nick Foles – QB Arizona– Following a trend I suppose here today.  Foles is another big QB who posses all the physical tools one drools over, and he’s also having a pretty good season to boot too.  Foles is completing over 83% of his passes and leading a 10th ranking passing game as well.
