Cleveland Browns Awarded DB Brett Johnson Off Waivers from Seahawks

The Cleveland Browns made a depth move on Monday, as they were awarded safety Brett Johnson off waivers from the Seattle Seahawks.

Johnson came into the league as an undrafted free agent, first signing with the Buffalo Bills in 2010. He also spent time with the St. Louis Rams and Philadelphia Eagles, eventually getting signed to the Bills’ practice squad on December 22, where he spent the rest of the 2010 season.

He will wear number 33 and is simply expected to add depth to the secondary, especially with rookie safety Eric Hagg undergoing knee surgery.
