Cleveland Browns left tackle Joe Thomas is now likely to be a member of the organization for most, if not all, of his career. The perennial Pro Bowler was signed to a seven-year, $84 million extension on Tuesday, with around $44 million of it guaranteed.

The deal puts him in some pretty impressive company, as far as the guaranteed money is concerned. That is the most guaranteed money in an offensive lineman’s contract and puts him in impressive territory (a few million less than Larry Fitzgerald) when it comes to salary per year for a non-quarterback.

Thomas was the third overall pick in the 2007 NFL Draft and has started every game of his pro career while also making the Pro Bowl in each of his first four seasons.
