Browns defensive lineman Marcus Benard was involved in a motorcycle accident following practice on Monday afternoon and was taken to MetroHealth Medical Center. He has since been moved to the Cleveland Clinic for further evaluation.

Benard crashed his Spyder motorcycle into a wall on 1-71 N near West 65th street, and while he was driving at a “high rate of speed” according to sources, the Browns’ lineman is expected to make a full recovery from his injuries. It has been reported that Benard has broken his hand, but has sustained no life-threatening injuries. In other words, Benard is extremely lucky.

Benard, in his third season with the Browns, has three tackles and one sack through four games in 2011.
