Browns Select LB James-Michael Johnson With Second Fourth-Round Pick
With their second fourth-round pick in the 2012 NFL draft, the Cleveland Browns opted to fill a need on defense, selecting linebacker James-Michael Johnson out of the University of Nevada. Johnson was a four-year player with the Wolf Pack and is a middle linebacker, but he could be moved on the outside with D’Qwell Jackson currently manning the inside for the Browns.
According to CBS Sports, Johnson (6-1, 241 pounds), a “vocal leader and team captain,” is a “tough between-the-tackles defender who shimmies past blockers to fill lanes.”
In his senior season, Johnson totaled 100 tackles and 1.5 sacks.
