The Browns players had today off after Family Fun Night, so they can kick back and relax and watch the Hall of Fame Game. In four short days, the Browns host the Rams in the first of their preseason games. For many fans, the game in Canton represents another of the seemingly unending line of official unofficial starts to the NFL season. Watching various Cowboys and Dolphins with their really, really aqua uniforms try to make an NFL team is good and all, but Browns fans want to see their players, see some glimpses of what this team has to offer, and overreact to the good and bad they see from players they know and some they do not.
The Browns may not play everyone but they finally get to hit someone else and the lines get to take a break from fighting with each in practice for a day. More likely than not, the Browns will be conservative with who they suit up as everything is aimed at being ready for these Dolphins on week 1 of the season. It will be the first chance fans get to see Paul Kruger and Desmond Bryant (depending on how his back feels) suit up against an opponent as members of the Cleveland Browns. As much as fans want to see this team and what it can do, the first thing is getting in and getting out with everyone healthy. After that, the next step is worrying about how good they looked against the Rams for a few series in the first quarter before the rest of the roster puts it all on the line to continue their careers in the NFL.
