Browns inactives: QB Brian Hoyer, TE MarQueis Gray, OLB Barkevious Mingo, OT Martin Wallace, OG Shawn Lauvao, DT Ahtyba Rubin, OLB Paul Hazel.
Dolphins inactives: QB Pat Devlin, CB Jamar Taylor, RB Mike Gillislee, CB Will Davis, LB Josh Kaddu, G Danny Watkins, G Dallas Thomas
The Browns kickoff the season against the Miami Dolphins with a chance to get off to 1-0 start for the first time in 8 years and the first head coach to start their career with the Browns 1-0 since Bud Carson led the Browns to a 51-0 domination of the Pittsburgh Steelers in 1989.
The calf injury that caused Athyba Rubin to go on the injury report late in the week will keep him out of the gate with Billy Winn getting the opportunity to step in and start. The other questionable player on the Browns was Buster Skrine who will play through the strained shoulder. With Barkevious Mingo out and Paul Hazel inactive, Eric Martin is the fourth outside linebacker this week and it will be interesting to see how much run he gets in the rotation.
The Browns finally get to play a game that matters and Trent Richardson will be 100% healthy and ready to run, so if he gets less than 25 touches this game, something went horribly wrong. With Josh Gordon out, the Browns need a wide receiver to step up and make plays for Brandon Weeden.
Why will the Browns win? Why will they lose? Who is the hero or the goat today? Discuss it all here live during the game.
