Breakfast with Brownie

Good morning Browns fans and Happy Hump Day!!!
Well, the news all day around the NFL yesterday was centered around the alleged harassment of Dolphins second-year offensive lineman Jonathan Martin by teammate Richie Incognito.
An emotionally distraught Martin left the team last week and is reportedly undergoing counseling. Incognito was

suspended indefinitely by the Miami Dolphins organization and rumored to have played his last snap with the team.
Naturally, the question of bullying was brought up in the Browns locker room and several players went on record about the seriousness of harassment within the NFL.
Rookie offensive lineman Garrett Gilkey, chimed in on the topic, as he was a victim of bullying in high school. “It’s pretty tragic,” said Gilkey, who was forced to switch high schools because the bullying got so bad. “I don’t care if you’re a 24-year old lineman, bullying is the same as if you were a 9-year old girl. It doesn’t matter how old or how big you are, no one should have to go through that.”
On a lighter note, the Browns have activated guard Jason Pinkston from the injured reserve/designated to return list Tuesday and waived offensive lineman Rashad Butler.
Pinkston hasn’t played in a regular-season game since last October against the Cincinnati Bengals. Doctors detected a blood clot in his lung following that matchup.
As the Browns enjoy their bye week to get rested up and healthy, they have climbed a few spots in the 2013 NFL power rankings. Your Cleveland Browns are up seven spots from 28th to 21st after week 9 came to a close.

Browns linebacker D’Qwell Jackson, a member of the Browns’ leadership group, felt the harassment and bullying should have never gotten to the point it did. “It’s a sad story, man,” said Jackson. “When you have to come into a work environment where you don’t feel comfortable, I think you have to draw a line in the sand. Someone has to step up and make it right for him.”
Coach Rob Chudzinski, who said he is going to use the bye week to figure out how to get this dormant running game going, said Tuesday that Chris Ogbonnaya is going to get more carries. Ogbonnaya, is averaging 5.3 yard per carry on 19 attempts. “That’s something we are taking a good look at this week, the running game in general and getting Obi some carries,” Chudzinski said.
