Bob Stoops to @dpshow re: #Browns "I never acknowledge or deny whether anyone's contacted me or not; this isn't something publicly I do..

..one way or the other; that's something that's always personal and no one ever knows." - Stoops on @dpshow re: #Browns rumors

Bob Stoops was basically not saying anything one way or the other in regards to his interest in the Cleveland Browns. He definitely did not say no. Credit to Daryl Ruiter of 92.3 The Fan for being Johnnyonthespot with the quotes.
In a more general sense, when Dan Patrick asked him about the NFL in general, he really stammered his way through the answer before coming to the point that he is really happy doing what he is right now. Again, Stoops did nothing to suggest he was not interested in potentially making that leap.
"That's something you never know what'll come your way; in life things change from year to year, from time to time & right now I love what..

.I'm doing and the people I work with at Oklahoma so right now it isn't something that I'm looking to pursue but I never know down the road"

There was a report yesterday during the Sugar Bowl that Stoops had a good shot to get the job if he wanted it. It remains to be seen if that was true or just a curveball thrown into the mix, but Stoops certainly did nothing to suggest it could not happen. Stoops could ultimately use the Browns and the win over Alabama last night to get himself a nice pay raise as well.
