In a coaching search that has come with a number of cuveballs already, the Cleveland Browns are reportedly going to interview former Ohio State head coach Jim Tressel for the job.  Tressel has a spot in the hearts of many fans in Ohio due to his job with the Buckeyes as well as some who still admire him from his time at Youngstown State.

Currently, Tressel is working at the University of Akron in a non football capacity.  He spent a year working as an assistant with the Indianapolis Colts in a light role.  Tressel is still serving a show cause penalty from the sanctions levied against him while he was in Columbus; which ultimately cost him his job and led to the hiring of Urban Meyer.

There has been little or no indication that Tressel would have any interest in the NFL in any real capacity and most have figured he would retire from coaching.  He has never closed that door, but this would be more than a little unusual if the Browns went with this route.
