Phil Dawson finally got his opportunity to kick some meaningful field goals in the playoffs and it proved to be critical for the San Francisco 49ers to win their game on the road against the Green Bay Packers.  Dawson got three field goals including the last second kick that sealed the victory and move on to play the Carolina Panthers next week in the divisional round.

There were plenty of Cleveland Browns fans happy for and even openly rooting for Dawson to be able to succeed with the Browns out of the playoffs.  The loyalty is impressive, but a little depressing that a kicker has been the most loved player since the team came back in 1999.  Many of these fans reached out to Dawson in light of his success this weekend and Dawson responded today.

A simple gesture from Dawson, but nevertheless a player and person no one would expect any less from.
