Browns coaching search: Team to interview Cowboys Rich Bisaccia
By Peter Smith
According to Jay Glazer of Fox Sports, the Cleveland Browns will interview Rich Bisaccia, the current Special Teams Coach of the Dallas Cowboys and 30 years in coaching as a whole. Bissacia is notable because he does coach special teams but is also the oldest candidate the Browns have looked into thus far at 53 years old. He had also interviewed with Washington, who ultimately went with Jay Gruden as its head coach.
John Harbaugh was hired by the Baltimore Ravens after spending 9 seasons running the special teams of the Philadelphia Eagles. Andy Reid had actually changed his designation to defensive backs coach in order to help him look more attractive to NFL teams as a head coaching candidate. After one season with that moving to that position, he was hired by the Ravens. Since then, he has gone on to win the Super Bowl and no one mentions the fact that his background was largely in special teams.
