Good Morning Browns Fans!!!

There is actually not much news coming out of Berea this morning, as most of the excitement has slowed down

since the hiring of head coach Mike Pettine.

We did find out yesterday, however, that the Browns will be interviewing Oakland Raiders quarterbacks coach John DeFilippo on Thursday.  DeFilippo, spent the 2009 Browns season with Pettine on the New York Jets staff, as the assistant quarterbacks coach.

The Browns will interview former Redskins offensive coordinator Kyle Shanahan, sometime today for the offensive coordinator position as well.  As most of you know, Shanahan was fired by the Redskins,  along with his father, head coach Mike Shanahan.

Shanahan if you remember,  served as offensive coordinator under former Texans head coach Gary Kubiak.  In Houston, Shanahan’s offenses finished third and fourth in total yards in 2008 and 2009.  Those of you that were clamoring for Kubiak, can have the next best thing if Shanahan is offered and accepts the coordinator job in Cleveland.

Who knows, we may have an offensive coordinator before the day is done…

>Schefter as usual, always on top of the goings on in the NFL, confirmed both interviews yesterday.

>This is something that is definitely not going away.  I’m not sure if any of you hear Kiley and Booms yesterday, but they had a respected lawyer on who basically said Haslam could be in some serious trouble.  Seems most of the top brass under Haslam are cooperating with the Feds, which doesn’t sit well for Haslam considering they are talking and reported to nobody else but him….
