The Cleveland Browns were to have interviewed Kyle Shanahan for their offensive coordinator position on Wednesday.  They were reportedly scheduled to interview quarterbacks coach Mike DeFlippo from the Oakland Raiders on Thursday, but reports suggest they doubled up and also planned to interview Dowell Loggains Thursday.  Loggains was the offensive coordinator under Mike Munchak with the Tennessee Titans and has a reputation for working with an developing quarterbacks.

Loggains, 33, is right in line with the ages of the coordinators they are speaking with and he had been seeing improvement in Jake Locker in between injuries.  He also worked with Ryan Fitzpatrick, which is a completely different style of quarterback.  Before Locker’s injury, the Titans were flirting with contention as a possible wild card team.

Loggains had been linked to the Browns earlier in the process, but this would be the first official contact the two sides have had.  He has also been linked to the Tennessee Titans and their new coaching staff with Ken Whisenhunt.
