According to Chris Mortensen of ESPN, Cleveland Browns wide receiver Nate Burleson suffered a fractured arm in offseason training activities. This is the same arm Burleson broke trying to catch a pizza in a traffic accident last year that cost him much of the season.
It is May, so Burleson should have plenty of time for him to heal, but there will be plenty of Browns fans lining up at the I-480 bridge after the news that Josh Gordon may be suspended for a significant portion of the season for another positive drug test, reportedly.
The Browns need receiver help and this is minor news, but the timing is certainly terrible, all things considered. The second day of the draft is getting ready to close and while the Browns are operating as if nothing happened, because none of this is news to them, fans are freaking out wherever they can. An ugly day off the field in terms of injuries and drug testing (allegedly) has covered for what has been a great day in the NFL Draft, adding Joel Bitonio and Chris Kirksey.
