The Cleveland Browns used the 127th pick in the 2014 NFL Draft, the one they acquired from the Indianapolis Colts, to pick Pierre Desir, cornerback Lindenwood. Desir has great length, brings toughness and has overcome quite a bit to get to this point in his life.
The pick is a bit of a head scratcher in terms of the position, but the value is terrific. For me, Desir was a second round pick. The Browns now have a giant set of corners. Joe Haden is now the third tallest corner in the group with Justin Gilbert at just over 6′ and Desir at about 6’1″. Here is my breakdown on Desir.
He shined at the Reese’s Senior Bowl, never looking like he was a small school player playing against bigger schools. He looked like a guy that was ready and able to compete with anyone put up against him.
All of a sudden, the Browns have 4 really talented corners and Leon McFadden that was a third round pick last year that could make some noise this year.
