Behind Enemy Lines: St. Louis Rams
The Cleveland Browns face off against the St. Louis Rams tonight at First Energy Field. It will be the unveiling of all of the upgrades the team has made to the stadium and hopefully the unveiling of a real life NFL offense under starter Brian Hoyer. How the Browns will fare tonight is yet to be determined but before the game gets under way we went Behind Enemy Lines with our Fansided NFL site for the Rams, Ramblin Fan. We wanted to ask a few quick questions to give us Browns fans a better idea about the opponenent tonight, here are our questions and their responses:
1) Is Sam Bradford ready to be a Top 10, 15 QB in the league or will the Rams look elsewhere soon?
This will be a big year for Bradford. Even though he is coming off of a torn ACL it is time for him to step up to the plate and get this team over the top. He certainly has the potential to be a top 10, 15 QB but given that the Rams are a run first team he may not have the stats to back it up.
2) How has top pick Greg Robinson looked so far in pre-season?
Overall he’s looked alright, he’s had his bumps which is expected given that he is a rookie, but he shows a lot of promise.
3) Has any receiver separated themselves for the Rams this off-season?
Free agent addition Kenny Britt has shown that he can still be that number one guy that he was in Tennessee with Fisher and Brian Quick has show some bright spots as well. For the first time in his career Bradford might have some receivers to throw the ball to.
4) The Rams defensive line has 4 first rounders and tons of talent, any concerns of them living up to the hype?
No concern in that department at all. Chris Long had a down year last season, but he should bounce back. Michael Brockers has proven that he is that big run stuffer in the middle. Aaron Donald has shown that he has a pretty good chance at defensive rookie of the year. And Robert Quinn proved last season that he is one of the best defensive players in the league.
5) Any unknown player Browns fans should be on the lookout for?
Ethan Westbrooks should be a player to keep an eye on. Him and Michael Sam have been battling it out at defensive end and Westbrooks is the guy in the lead as of now.
6) What are your expectations for tonight?
I’d really like to see the Rams defense show that they are one of the better groups in the league tonight as they have been sub par up to this point. As far as the offense goes, I’d like to see Bradford pick up where he left off against the Packers, throwing the ball with confidence and showing poise in the pocket.
