Johnny Manziel has played a massive role in boosting Cleveland Browns jersey sales, and thanks to the rookie from Texas A&M, the Browns are carrying the AFC North on their shoulders when it comes to jersey sales this year. According to DICK’s Jersey Report, not only is Manziel leading all rookies in jersey sales still, but he’s carrying the AFC North in total sales this season.
The numbers don’t lie. Since the draft in May, the Browns have been carrying the AFC North in sales thanks to Manziel’s jersey and it’s popularity. That popularity is starting to trend down, as rookie jersey sales accounted for just over 5 percent of all total sales this past week.
But for the season, Manziel and the Browns are dominating.
This will all likely change by the time the season ends, as things are starting to level off in terms of sales. But don’t count out the Browns in general this season. If the team wins on Sunday and moves to 3-2, then fans will only further get behind this team and that could keep the jersey sales high.
