"14. Cleveland Browns (from BUF) — Devin Funchess, WR/TE, Michigan: The surprising 3-2 Cleveland Browns are dominating opponents with their running game but could be even better with a full gauntlet of receivers. The club is hopeful that Josh Gordon will re-emerge as a superstar but can’t rely on him. At 6-5, 235 pounds, Funchess is a huge target with soft hands and impressive body-control."

Funchess is starting to be a name that is going to get a ton of attention. At Michigan the huge receiver has a limited offense to work with but is still impressing people. Much like Brugler, Rang is assuming a need for a big receiver. Funchess has the body of a tight end but plays receiver. He can give some insurance against Jordan Cameron leaving or an injury. Funchess can play inside or out and allow Shanahan the chance to be creative with his play calling.

"20. Cleveland Browns – Andrus Peat, OT, Stanford: The Browns boast one of the league’s best left tackles in Joe Thomas but could use reinforcements at right tackle, where Mitchell Schwartz is coming off a disappointing second season. Peat blessed with remarkable balance and agility for a man of his 6-7, 315 pound dimensions but hasn’t been as dominant in 2014 as his hype suggests. Adding a potential top 10 talent with their second pick of the first round, however, is how franchises are turned around."

Rang goes with the same positions, just in opposite order, as Brugler. Peat has also been considered a Top 5, 10 pick but is falling due to poor performance so far. If a player like Peat falls this far the Browns, under Farmer, are likely to snatch him up. The Browns obviously want to be successful in the run game and Peat would help with that, as well as prepare the team for Life After Joe Thomas, something no one wants to think about but is coming down the road.

A few defenders taken in either Rang’s or Brugler’s drafts that would interest the Browns next year:

"1. Jacksonville Jaguars – Leonard Williams, DT, Southern Cal: 4. New York Jets – Randy Gregory, DE, Nebraska: 5. Washington Redskins — Landon Collins, S, Alabama: 9. Atlanta Falcons – Shawn Oakman, DE, Baylor: 15. Chicago Bears – Shilique Calhoun, DE, Michigan State: 23. Green Bay Packers – Danny Shelton, NG, Washington: 24. Detroit Lions – Eddie Goldman, DT, Florida State: 28. Arizona Cardinals – DL Arik Armstead, Oregon 30. Denver Broncos – ILB Benardrick McKinney, Mississippi State 31. Dallas Cowboys – DT Michael Bennett, Ohio State"

What do you think of either of these drafts?

Does the Browns good season make you think about the draft less?
