NFL Injury Report: Browns Rule Out Four for Sunday

The latest NFL Injury Report is not a good one for the Cleveland Browns. The Browns have ruled out four for this Sunday’s game against the Jacksonville Jaguars, including three defenders who have played key roles:

Williams has been the Browns primary nickel corner. With him out first rounder Justin Gilbert is likely to take on that role and fourth rounder Pierre Desir may be active for the first time this season.

Winn and Taylor join Armonty Bryant, out for the season, off of the defensive line. The Browns are left with four of the seven linemen who started the season on the active roster. Expect OLBs Paul Kruger, Jabaal Sheard and even Barkevious Mingo to fill in at defensive end as well.

Smith has not played yet since being picked up on waivers from the Vikings.

Three other players will be inactive Sunday as well. Terrance West, who doesn’t contribute on special teams could be fighting for a roster spot. Fourth stringer Glenn Watson is likely to continue to make the game day roster due to what he provides on the Browns special teams.

The Browns, and their fans, are excited following their big win Sunday but with a depleted roster, especially on defense, they could have some struggles. The Jags are likely to try to win the game through the run. Blake Bortles has some ability to beat teams with his legs which could lead the Browns to spy him, especially on big 3rd down situations.

Which of these four on the NFL Injury Report worries you the most?
