Browns Injury Report: Two Starters Questionable for Sunday
The Cleveland Browns have all of a sudden been hit hard by injuries. A new Browns injury report has two more defensive starters as questionable for tomorrow’s game against the Jacksonville Jaguars, Tashaun Gipson and Ahtyba Rubin:
The Browns will already be without three key players on defense that were ruled out yesterday (new window): K’Waun Williams, Phil Taylor and Billy Winn. If Rubin is out the Browns will be down four of their key contributors on the defensive line with Armonty Bryant on season ending IR as well. The Browns added Sione Fua who will likely be forced into duties Sunday no matter what but could have a ton of time on the field if Rubin is out. Jacobbi McDaniel was also called up from the practice squad, according to his Twitter account:

McDaniel was a standout during the pre-season and is a full motor type that could replace some of what Rubin does. The Jaguars are likely to run the ball a ton, meaning our defensive line has to stay stout. Head Coach Mike Pettine will earn his pay this weekend trying to fit a few new pieces in to make things work. The run defense has not been great so anything is really possible.
Gipson on the other hand is a unique player. He leads the team with two interceptions and is a key player against the pass. Donte Whitner is often used as a run stopper leaving Gipson to roam the field. Jordan Poyer and veteran Jim Leonhard are likely to split time in Gipson’s place if he misses the game. His absence would be another huge blow for a hurting defense.
Which of these two would be the hardest to replace?
