Buffalo Snow Issues Likely Benefit Browns
The Buffalo Bills, and the Buffalo community, have been rocked by snow. The Buffalo snow has dropped an estimated 220,000 pounds of snow is in and around Ralph Wilson Stadium. Even more snow is expected, and currently falling, in the area. Some 2 or 3 more feet could hit the area.
Talks are currently in place to move the Bills game someplace else, Detroit, Cleveland and New York are all possibilities, and possibly to Monday or Tuesday.
First and foremost the safety of the citizens of Buffalo and the employees of the Bills and New York Jets are important. Nothing takes precedence over safety of people’s lives, especially when it is something as small as a sports event.
However, after those concerns are addressed, the Bills snow issues could benefit the Cleveland Browns in a couple ways:
- The Bills have not been able to practice at all as they are snowed in.
- Even if the game is pushed back and moved to another location the Bills will likely struggle to have any time to prepare for the game.
- The Browns are owed the Bills 1st and 4th round picks and more losses by the Bills will help those be as high as possible.

- The Bills play the Browns next week in what is suppose to be a home game.
- If the Bills game is moved to Monday or Tuesday it gives the team one or two less days to prepare and recover from their game against the physical Jets.
- Bills officials have some concern whether they will be able to clear the stadium and surrounding area for the Browns/Bills game which is over a week away. The game could be moved to Cleveland if that happens. If not Cleveland, someplace else, taking away the Bills home field advantage.
Again the most important thing is keeping people safe. Once that is taken care of the Bills could be disadvantaged for two straight games, both of which would benefit the Cleveland Browns. With the Browns in the midst of a struggle for playoff positioning, any advantage they can get is great.
