Breaking: Brian Hoyer, Not Johnny Manziel, Starting Sunday
According to Jay Glazer, the Cleveland Browns have made their choice and it is a surprise. Brian Hoyer, and not Johnny Manziel, will start Sunday against the Indianapolis Colts:
This comes as a huge shock to most who expected the Browns would go with Johnny Football instead of returning to Hoyer who has struggled in the past four games.
Mike Pettine’s press conference is at 12:45PM today and should confirm Glazer’s report. It is likely that he will say that Hoyer is who they believe gives the team the best chance to win Sunday and that they will evaluate the position game to game.

Hoyer’s struggles have come against strong defensive lines that haven’t allowed the Browns to get going on the ground thus impacting the QB play. Hoyer’s struggles have gotten worse over the past two weeks with Josh Gordon returning to the field. Hoyer has seemed to try to force the ball into him instead of taking what the defense gives him.
Sunday, at home, against the Colts it will be interesting if Jordan Cameron returns, if the run game can get going and how the home crowd reacts to this decision.
What do you think of the decision to start Brian Hoyer instead of Johnny Manziel?
