Miles Austin Released from the Hospital
In the likely final update, for awhile thankfully for him, Miles Austin is being released from the hospital and will return to Cleveland:
It has been quite an ordeal for Austin as he was taken to the hospital from the stadium on Sunday via an ambulance, on a stretcher. He has been in the hospital since and just got released.
The Browns have placed him on the IR, meaning his season is done, but the most important thing now is his long term health. Teammate Karlos Dansby reported that Austin had a lacerated kidney. I am no doctor but that does not sound good.

Thankfully he is being released and being allowed to fly back to Cleveland. That means he has been stabilized enough that travel is allowed.
What it means for Austin’s future playing football is unknown at this point. It is quite possible that he is done but just as likely that he returns next season, those medical decisions are for him and his family, along with medical advice, to decide.
The Browns could look to bring him back again next year. He was loved by many of the young players and provided a veteran presence that is lacking on the offensive side of the ball.
For now we wish him a speedy and complete recovery.
