Dansby is a fiery, intelligent player who would have played a big role in trying to slow down Andrew Luck and the uber talented Indianapolis Colts offense. He is great against the run and his speed and football IQ make him a high level player against the pass as well. The Colts like to run a ton of crossing routes, Dansby would likely be a key piece of defending those.
Without Dansby, the Browns will continue with Craig Robertson and Christian Kirksey on the inside. With the Colts high octane offense including two good pass catching tight ends the play of those two will be huge today. They can’t replace Dansby but the Browns will need a big effort out of them.
Thankfully the Colts running game is not good, thanks Trent Richardson, so the loss of Dansby won’t be felt there.
How big of deal is the Karlos Dansby news?
