The 2015 NFL Draft is nearly upon us and the Cleveland Browns are having many prospects visit and workout prior to the cut off by the NFL. Each NFL team is allowed to host 30 national prospects for visits until a week prior to the NFL draft (23rd April), which runs April 30-May 2. There is no limit on private workouts. The Browns are done looking a veteran talent and are focus squarely on the talented group coming out in the 2015 NFL Draft. The Browns will have a lot options to choose from in draft, the latest name connected to the Browns is North Dakota State LB Kyle Emanuel. According to Bleacher Reports Brent Sobleski, the Browns will be travelling to Fargo, North Dakota to workout Emanuel.

At 6-foot-3, 255 pounds, Emanuel has the size, quickness and the high competitive nature that translates well to the next level. He recorded 19.5 sacks (FCS Leader), 32.5 tackles for loss and was the Bison’s third leading tackler with 97 stops. Emanuel and the Bison’s have won three National Championships in four seasons and Emanuel was a key piece to that defense. Emanuel was selected first-team FCS All-American and Missouri Valley Defensive Player of the Year, he also won the Buck Buchanon Award (FCS’ top defensive player) and was selected first-team All-Missouri Valley. Emanuel’s combine performance is what has turned many into believers. During his on field drills he displayed fluid hips and was very comfortable dropping into space. He was also a top performer in his position group on the bench press (27 reps) of 225 lbs.

"According to walterfootball.com, Emanuel showed off his versatility at the NDSU Pro Day. Emanuel worked out at both defensive end and outside linebacker. Three NFL teams came away enticed by the edge rusher’s performance."

The Browns are currently thin at the outside linebacker position, with Paul Kruger and Barkevious Mingo the starters, and Keith Pough, a second-year player out of Harvard, the only other outside linebacker on the roster. The Browns could use another edge rusher to add to the depth charts, and a Emanuel could cut his teeth playing special teams while developing his skills at the next level. There is some competition for the outside pass rusher from teams like the Minnesota Vikings and Pittsburgh Steelers, but the Browns would be wise to use late round pick on Emanuel.
