It’s amazing how games that mean so little, could mean so much. Does that make any sense? The preseason is defined as “exhibition games” yet so many jobs and positions are determined through them.

Just think of this, a team starts with around 90 people on a roster at the beginning of camp, and by the start of the season it’s trimmed to just 53. Almost half the roster is sent home packing. All determined through camp practices and preseason games that don’t actually count on the win-loss record.

The Seattle Seahawks saw enough from Russell Wilson during training camp and preseason in 2012, to name him the starter over Matt Flynn, who had received a $26-million deal that offseason.

These games really do count.

As an organization, you want to see progress. Players are rusty, understandably, from a long offseason. You just hope week by week throughout preseason, the rust comes off, and maybe a diamond in the rough is found a long the way.

So, without further ado, here are three Cleveland Browns you should be watching with a keen eye on thursday night vs. the Buffalo Bills.
