Cleveland Browns:
Cleveland Browns Top 10 receiving games of all-time:
"The Cleveland Browns will enter the 2015 NFL season with what many experts consider one of the worst group of pass catchers in the NFL. It hasn’t always been that way as this list of the Top 10 receiving games in franchise history reveals."
Sore elbow to sideline Johnny Manziel for “a bit”:
"The Cleveland Browns will shut down quarterback Johnny Manziel for a “short while” due to ongoing soreness in the elbow of his throwing arm."
The Browns are L.A.’s favorite team:
"While on vacation in Los Angeles, our own Roger Cohen heard “Go Browns” constantly, a reminder that despite our more-than-a-generation futility, Browns’ fans are everywhere."
Time for Browns to put Terrelle Pryor back at quarterback (ESPN):
"The solution for the Cleveland Browns quarterback quandary is already on the team’s roster. There’s no reason to sign another team’s retread, no need to bring in a project or an aging veteran. At this point the Browns need only to put Terrelle Pryor back at quarterback, let his former quarterback coach bring him along and see what happens. (Editor’s note: No. Just no.)"
Browns were right when it came to Peyton Hillis (The Plain Dealer):
"The Browns were right not to sign Peyton Hillis to a longterm contract in 2011 and he can’t deal with it."
NFL News:
Andy Dalton: Criticism is impossible for me to avoid (nfl.com):
"Andy Dalton has become a magnet for criticism in his NFL career — the insults, doubts and punchlines increasing in pull toward the Bengals quarterback with each January failure. (Editor’s note: When you invite criticism, it is impolite not to accept.)"
Two 49ers indicted in sexual assault (Niner Noise):
"Former San Francisco 49ers defensive lineman Ray McDonald was indicted by a Santa Clara grand jury Wednesday on one count of rape, while current 49ers outside linebacker Ahmad Brooks was charged by the District Attorney’s office on one count of misdemeanor sexual battery. Both indictments are the result of the same incident, reportedly having taken place on December 15, 2014."
Five possible replacements for Orlando Scandrick (The Landry Hat):
"The Dallas Cowboys received devastating news on Tuesday night. Veteran starting cornerback Orlando Scandrick suffered a season-ending knee injury during a collision with rookie wide recevier Lucky Whitehead. An MRI later revealed he had torn both the ACL and MCL in his right knee. Here are five free agents the Cowboys could look at."
