As everyone always says, the third preseason game is the dress rehearsal for the regular season. You’ll see starters on both sides of the ball, play about three quarters in preparation for week one.

Head coach, Mike Pettine, will head into the start of the season with Josh McCown as his starting quarterback, but this game will give him a better understanding of where McCown stands in this offense.

Many of the jobs on the Cleveland Browns are solidified, but a couple are still there for the taking. Unfortunately, Johnny Manziel, won’t be making an appearance in the Browns matchup vs. the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, after an elbow injury that projects to end his preseason.

Basically meaning, you won’t have to hear me talk about why he should start anymore. His injury has taken him out of the running for the starting job, whether you want to believe there was a competition from day one or not.

There are other areas of the team besides quarterback, which I will delve into as we prep you for the most important preseason game of the year. So, let’s get started. Here are three things to watch for in tonight’s preseason game.
