2. Do the Browns Have a Tight End?

Jordan Cameron is gone, and say what you want about him and his inconsistent play, but his ability was off the charts. The current tight end position for the Browns is almost laughable.

Jim Dray. Gary Barnidge. Rob Housler. E.J. Bibbs.

Just pitiful.

The four combined for 39 receptions in 2014, and they all qualify as backup tight end’s on just about any other roster in football. I get that this team is going to rely heavily on running the football, but I’m not sure there is any less threatening tight end position in football, than what Cleveland offers.

In this game, I’m hoping they prove me wrong. Show me that there is some sort of pass-catching ability in this Browns passing game from the tight end position. The four I mentioned above, all seem like the same type of player. Will anyone stand out?

I don’t want to hear the “well, Bibbs is having a great camp.” He’s an undrafted player. The expectations for any undrafted player are too hopefully make it past the second preseason game on the roster. Of course he’s going to be praised, considering what people initially expected. To think he’s going to step in and make an impact is crazy.

This position is a huge question mark because I don’t see any player that stands out as a true starter.
