The Cleveland Browns and the New York Jets will open the 2015 NFL season on Sunday where they square off at MetLife Stadium.
The matchup will be just the 23rd between the two teams since the 1970 merger between the National Football League and American Football League. The Browns hold a 13-9 lead in the series, thanks in large part to winning the first six games in the series and seven of the first eight.
The Jets have won the past two times the teams have met, including the last meeting in December of 2013, when quarterback Jason Campbell’s two interceptions and three sacks contributed to a 24-13 loss by the Browns.
While the Browns and the Jets have not met on a regular basis, when the two teams do get together they have produced some memorable games.
In that light, here are the five best between the Browns and the Jets of all-time. (As always, much love to Jonathan Knight’s The Browns Bible.)
